Now Google CLOUD for Microsof AZURE

Few days back when Microsoft India Group Director Vikas Arora said that the company latest offering in the are of cloud computing "WINDOWS AZURE" is now available commercially in India.

Now its time for Google who opened an online shop for business software hosted as services in the Internet "cloud."

Google Apps Marketplace launched on Tuesday with offerings from more than 50 companies including Intuit's online payroll program for small businesses, according to marketplace product manager Chris Vander Mey.
"Today, we're making it easier for these users and software providers to do business in the cloud with a new online store for integrated business applications," Mey said in a posting at the Google website.
Cloud programs are hosted on the Internet, eliminating the need for people to buy, install and maintain the software.
"We've found that when businesses begin to experience the benefits of cloud computing, they want more," Mey said.
Applications featured at Apps Marketplace synch with programs in a suite of applications that Google offers as online services.
More than 2 million businesses have taken to using Google Apps in the past three years, according to the California Internet giant.
Google's applications challenge software programs sold by rival Microsoft, which makes the bulk of its money from selling or licensing software that is installed on users' computers.

Microsoft 'windows Azure' latest offering in the area of cloud computing

Hi Friend's

In the beginning of the year we talked about the "Top 10 Strategic Technologies for 2010' and "CLOUD COMPUTING" is the No. 1 in that.

Global Giant Microsoft unveiled a portfolio of services in INDIA that will help companies to share software and storage facilities, called CLOUD COMPUTING. With the use of the new service can bring down the IT expense by more than 50%.

Microsoft India Group Director Vikas Arora said that the company latest offering in the are of cloud computing "WINDOWS AZURE" is now available commercially in India.

Cloud computing will be the great technology to reduce the IT expenses and will help company to come out from the recession. In cloud computing, companies share computer resources — such as servers, software and data storage — through the internet, instead of setting up such infrastructure at their own end.

Both individuals and companies are already using cloud computing with services such as web-mail and sharing of software and other applications. The concept is evolving into a simple, pay-per-use way to get services on tap, just like electricity, for businesses.

The cloud is also a green way to do business. Organisations don’t need to set up server banks running lots of software — just pay for what you use. The provider services many users from one set of equipment, halving energy and equipment cost per user.
