Nokia and Intel launch MeeGo Platform


Nokia and Intel decided to combine their Moblin and Maemo platforms into one software platform that comes under the name as MeeGo.

MeeGo will be based on the Linux Foundation, moreover, it will be open source. Developers will be able to utilize Qt app development environment as well as apps by means of Nokia’s Ovi Store or the Intel AppUp Center.

MeeGo will be available in Market by the end of this year.The platform will back up various hardware platforms such as tablets, netbooks and connected TVs.
