Russian Plan For National Search Engine - How About YANDEX

Russian Government recently announce that they are looking to launch there own national search engine which can have better filtration of data and ensure the Safe access of Information.

The announcement bring some attention to Russian Search market.YANDEX hold approx 62% of the Search Market share of Russia. Some facts about YANDEX which definately bring attention is "Yandex is the world’s fastest growing search engine, with a massive 80% growth between December 09 and 10. Its popularity in Russia is mostly down to its in-depth and through knowledge of the “complexities and nuances of the Russian language”.

Yandex, like other ‘local’ search engines such as China’s Baidu, prefers sites hosted in Russia, with a Russian domain name i.e. .ru. In 2009 the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced its approval for the use of top level domain names i.e.com, .net, .ru, featuring non-Latin characters. This means that Russia’s most popular top level domain name can now be written in Cyrillic (‘.ru’ becomes ‘.рф’, which stands for ‘Rossiyskaya Federatsiya’ – Russian Federation). Yandex haven’t yet made it clear whether they are planning to hold preference to Cyrillic domain names, but if they do, it will have a huge effect on SEO practice in Russia.

The long awaited Twitter likely to roll out an official advertising platform by March 2010.

Anamitra Banerji, the head of product management and monetization at Twitter,Said "We are working on an ad platform, but it’s only in the test phase. There is no exact date as off now for Twitter add platform but as per the sources it will be expected next month.

600 Tweets every second place Twitter pretty close to the Facebook’s popularity meaning that the advertising revenue could be very high if Twitter strikes with just the right strategy. Also it will be interesting to see how the third-parties like Ad.ly and Izea that insert ads in the twitter streams will be affected by Twitter’s own advertising model. Tweets Tweet Ton's ! Yahoo and Twitter announced a deal to put Twitter feeds on Yahoo homepages, e-mail accounts, Yahoo Sports and other sites in a broad content-sharing agreement that also includes Twitter in Yahoo search results.

The Yahoo-Twitter partnership would be bigger and more encompassing than Twitter’s partnership with Google and Bing.

Yahoo has entered into a partnership with Facebook earlier and has offered to provide the services of Facebook from inside the Yahoo pages. Facebook is currently the second most visited site in the world after Google. Twitter is the most popular micro-blogging platform, with an average of 50 million tweets per day.

Turn Off Buzz

Till now every one was thinking that Google Buzz is a one way buy friends it is not. Buzz is two way. I saw a video which states "You Hate Buzz, but Google Runs the Internet " but the other side of coin is different.

Here the great "G" gives you an option to "turn off the Buzz". If you want to off Buzz than you have to scroll down the main Gmail page. there you are able to find the option "turn off buzz". Just click on that and close the Buzz Light.

Google has provide the another option to off the Buzz,go to "setting"  located at the top right-hand corner of the page. The company included a “Buzz” option to the main settings due to which you are able to hide as well as disable Buzz.

Do remember in case you disable Buzz, your Google Profile and Buzz posts will also be deleted and as a result you will be disconnected to any connected sites.

Google was the top-visited website for the second straight year, and accounted for 6.70% of all US visits between January and November 2009. Yahoo Mail accounted for 4.44% of visits, followed by Facebook (4.26%), Yahoo (3.36%) and MySpace (3%).

Google is launching its new services for Mobile users, giving news on Mobile for those who have iPhone, Android, and Palm Pre.This is an another step from Google to excite its users of iphone,Android and Palm Pre devices.The new version of Google mobile news includes original Google News on desktop application.

Those who have already used Google News on their desktop will be able to find all their personalization in the mobile version. Google Mobile news will comes with 29 languages and 70 editions. The service is also available for Blackberry and Windows Mobile users.

U2 Live On YouTube - Never Before !

U2 is going to make a live broadcast of a whole concert on YouTube. Such information appeared on the band’s official website. The tickets for the show in California have been already sold out. The concert is expected to be attended by 96,000 people. As U2 mentioned in its statement this was going to the first time for such a large concert to be streamed live.

The band’s manager Paul McGuinness said it was something that had been so long waited for.He believes that covering Sunday’s show at the Rose Bowl in California presents a great chance to bring the party out of the stadium borders.The concert is to be streamed live all over the world .

The band whom belong such great shots like “Beautiful Day” and “Sunday Bloody Sunday” started on the U2 360 Tour in Barcelona this June and attracted a huge number of people by a circular platform that can be observed from all sides of arena.

The relationship between YouTube and the record industry is rather tough. The reason for this is that the companies demand higher payments for the right to feature their stars.

Nevertheless, they can not underestimate the significance of presenting their artists on sites that influence the formation of young fans’ preferences.
